Do you suspect you have food intolerances or sensitivities but don't know where to begin to figure out what's affecting you? Here are 5 tips:
Create a timeline of events. Have you taken antibiotics? Have you been exposed to mold? Have you experienced a traumatic event? You may create a timeline of your whole life or just the time leading up to symptoms.
Start a food diary. Include foods, drinks, supplements, medications, and skin products consumed or used. Also write down how you feel. You may start to notice a pattern.
Simplify your diet for some time. This will make it easier to pinpoint problem ingredients.
Think beyond basic food groups. Perhaps the foods are all high-histamine foods or high-salicylate foods. If you are not familiar with nutrition, you may need help from a holistic practitioner or nutritionist to figure this out.
Clean up your environment and lifestyle. This can help lessen negative effects.
